Hui Malama O Ke Kai is a Waimanalo nonprofit that has run free after-school programming for local keiki for more than 25 years. The Keiki program serves 5th and 6th graders and the Opio program serves 7th through 12th graders, with weekday afternoons structured around a snack and homework block, oli and piko, and a hands-on lesson in the loi, at the beach, or in the community. Programs are provided at no cost to families, and healthy snacks are included daily.
