Makakilo has its own City swimming pool on Anipeahi Street, a 20-yard pool that is a manageable size for younger and newer swimmers. Recreational swim at City pools is free, and seasonal learn-to-swim and water-safety classes are registered through the City’s PROS system. The American Red Cross of Hawaii partners with the City to provide certification and water safety instruction at various pool locations.
