Ke Kula Mele Hawaii is a Hawaiian music school in Kailua, headed by steel guitar master Alan Akaka, offering instruction in ukulele, guitar, Hawaiian-style upright bass, and Hawaiian lap steel guitar. It teaches keiki through adults in both group classes and private lessons, and is the only school in Hawaii offering specialty training on the Hawaiian lap steel guitar.
