Malama Loko Ea is restoring a centuries-old fishpond in Haleiwa and uses it as an outdoor classroom for North Shore keiki. Its Kupuohi education programme takes school and family groups from pre-K upward through hands-on work in sustainability, Hawaiian culture and land stewardship, and the foundation also holds a free community work day on the third Saturday of most months that families can join together.
