Ke Kula Nui O Waimanalo is a grassroots Waimanalo nonprofit whose eight community programs include two aimed at young people. OLA Waimanalo teaches keiki land-based and ocean-based health through planting and harvesting, aquaponics, swimming and paddling a double-hulled canoe, laau lapaau, protocol and stone carving. Na Kukui O Waimanalo works with opio on documenting the moolelo and mele of Waimanalo kupuna through short films. Programs are designed to be family-centred and are offered free to the community.
