Kaala Farm has operated a Hawaiian cultural learning center in upper Waianae Valley since 1983, restoring loi kalo and running hands-on cultural and environmental education for school children, families, and community groups. Visits are arranged by request, so plan ahead – the approval process can take up to two weeks and requests should go in at least three weeks before the date you want. Families who want a lower-commitment first visit can join La Kokua Kaala, the community volunteer workday held the third Saturday of each month.
