Waikalua Loko Ia is a roughly 400-year-old Hawaiian fishpond in Kaneohe cared for by the Pacific American Foundation. It hosts La Ohana community work days where families, keiki, and community groups help restore the fishpond walls, remove invasive mangrove and limu, and learn place-based stewardship, alongside school field trips and youth programs. Note: Community work days are seasonal (~5x/year, tide-dependent); several programs are school-partnered rather than open enrollment.
